Bowl For Kids’ Sake is our largest fundraising event. It’s your opportunity to join the fun and raise money for kids in our community. The funds raised go directly to the agency toward matching children with carefully screened, caring volunteers in our Mentoring Programs.

How It Works

Ask your friends and co-workers to join you in forming a team. Obtain a sponsor sheet and collect pledges. Your sponsors can donate a flat cash donation or they can donate a per pin pledge. The more pledges you collect, the more prizes you will be eligible for. You then call the agency office to set-up your hour time slot to come bowl your free game. Collect from your sponsors and turn in your money to Big Brothers Big Sisters by the deadline or the day of the event. It's that easy! Click the link to obtain a sponsor sheet online. Don't Have Time to Bowl

That's OK, too. You can donate a flat amount to us by clicking the donate button. Or you could encourage your business to support Bowl for Kids Sake by sponsoring a Big/Little team to bowl or by donating money to the agency. Call our office at 301-739-4711 to get all the information you need to know to help make this fundraiser a great success.

Facts You Should Know

$30.00 minimum pledge for each bowler which includes a fountain drink or coffee and a 2012 Bowl for Kids’ Sake T-shirt.

Ten pins and Duck pins are available. You can have from one to six people on a team and as many teams as you can put together.

Bowling and shoes are FREE! (As long as you present your completed sponsor sheet the day of the event.)

You are eligible for prize drawings from pledges obtained, collected and turned in for the event.

The minimum score is 100, regardless of game bowled.

Everyone leaves the event with "Thank You" mementos. Dozens of door prizes are given out during the event.

The event runs from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. It is up to you and your team to decide upon a time to bowl. Just call the office, 301-739-4711, to schedule your one hour time slot.
