Tom brings a wealth of knowledge in health and human services and public administration to the agency as the chief executive officer. He came to BBBS in 2012 from the Washington County Office of Community Grant Management (formerly Washington County Community Partnership for Children & Families), where he worked closely with the Local Management Board (LMB) for nearly 10 years, most recently serving as the LMB manager. Prior to his work with the LMB, he worked as a case manager for the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia, where he supported children and youth with academic, behavioral and attendance challenges. Tom has a reputation for being community-minded and a strong collaborator. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University, where he graduated with honors. He is a graduate of the XXII class of Leadership Washington County. Tom’s proudest professional achievement was being named by the Maryland Coalition of Families for Children’s Mental Health as the 2006 recipient of the Family Partnership Award for his work with families of children with special needs. He has a passion for the work of BBBS and believes wholeheartedly in the power of ONE-TO-ONE mentoring! He has been matched with his Little Brother, Conner, for two years and enjoys spending time with him each week in the Site-Based Mentoring Program. Tom resides in Hagerstown with his wife, Pamela, and two sons, Nathan and Aaron.
Match Program Coordinator
Tracy came on board with BBBS in May of 2004 as our mentor manager, to oversee our Site-Based Mentoring Program when it was still in its beginning stage. With her, she brought a wealth of teaching knowledge, having graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and having tutored for nearly 18 years. She has since expanded the Site-Based Mentoring Program, with a total of 11 different elementary and middle schools participating in Washington County! Tracy now serves as our match program coordinator and liaison for our relationships with the Washington County Public Schools that host our matches. She also serves matches in the Community-Based Mentoring and Sports Buddies Programs and has initiated tutoring services for our Littles, through the agency’s Strengthening Our Academic Results (SOAR) Program. She was previously matched in the Site-Based Mentoring Program for 3 years and enjoys spending time with her current Little Sister, Molly, in the Sports Buddies Program. The two have been matched since August of 2014. Tracy resides in Hagerstown with her high school sweetheart, Howie, and the two enjoy spending weekends at the Potomac Fish & Game Club, boating on the Potomac River and spending time with friends. She is an avid reader and dog-lover!

Janet joined BBBS as our bookkeeper in 2012. She graduated from Towson University in 1979 and received her CPA certification in 1980. She spent 31 years working in the accounting department at Citigroup. Janet’s initial involvement with the agency began as a Big Sister in 2004 when she was matched with her Little Sister, Brandy. Their match lasted 10 years! She was even recognized as our Big Sister of the Year in 2006 for her dedication to being a consistent role model in Brandy’s life. She also served on our board of directors for 3 years. Janet’s service did not end there! She currently serves as a Site-Based mentor at Fountaindale Elementary School with her Little Sister, Ka'maya. The two have been matched since March of 2014. When she’s not at BBBS, Janet enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and cruising around as a passenger on Harley Davidson motorcycles with her significant other, George. Janet also spends time with her dog, Eva, who loves to take daily walks. She volunteers with Meals on Wheels of Hagerstown, delivering monthly meals to senior citizens in Hagerstown, and serves as treasurer for the Waynesboro and Chambersburg Civitan Clubs.
